Introduction
My name is Peter Ponting. I have lived in Quedgeley since 1988.
I work as a postman based in Quedgeley.
I have decided to set up Quedgeley Walkers, because, I believe that a lot of people do not know what is in our surrounding area. A lot of people have worked hard to establish a series of wildlife corridors between built up areas. Exploring these corridors invariably leads you to the countryside.
Did you know that most people living in the Quedgeley area are less than five minutes walk away from the countryside.
What I would like to achieve in organising Quedgeley Walkers is, regular walks around the area, suitable for everybody, young and old. However some areas are only accessible via stiles. This could be difficult for disabled or very young people. But, I will clearly define those walks.
I will also be organising longer walks for those who enjoy getting out more.
